Sanders Announces 10:33 Initiative is Awarded $1 Million from Nonprofit For Others

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.— Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders today announced the 10:33 Initiative was awarded a $1 million matching grant from the philanthropic nonprofit For Others to help expand the statewide effort that brings together government agencies, faith-based communities, and business partners to help Arkansans in times of crisis.

“We launched the 10:33 Initiative as a project unlike anything government agencies have done before, carefully curated to give Arkansans a hand up, not a handout,” said Governor Sanders. “For Others’ mission is closely aligned with the initiative’s goal, and I’m grateful they’re investing in not only making access to individualized support even easier but also strengthening families and transforming lives across our state.”

As one of the largest investments supporting the implementation of the Governor’s 10:33 Initiative, For Others’ grant will expand CarePortal in Arkansas, a technology platform that enables churches to respond to real-time needs to provide practical, individualized support to children and families in need. Additionally, their grant will help grow the No Wrong Door model across the state, making access to coordinated support for families and individuals easier, regardless of where they seek help first.

Governor Sanders launched the 10:33 Initiative in October 2025, organized by her Faith-Based Initiatives office, alongside the White House Faith Office, the Arkansas Department of Human Services, the Arkansas Department of Commerce, and other partners to lift Arkansans out of poverty and improve their self-sufficiency. Restore Hope serves as the implementation partner – strengthening coordination between government agencies, nonprofits, faith organizations, and other local partners.

As independence and stability are achieved, individuals are led to Arkansas LAUNCH, a skills-based platform connecting jobseekers with opportunities and assisting employers find the skilled workers they need – streamlined and for free.

For Others is a nonprofit with a mission to end the child welfare crisis in America by raising awareness and connecting resources to solutions through three strategies: preventing children from entering foster care, recruiting and retaining great foster families, and empowering communities to create state-level solutions.

Restore Hope is a nonprofit organization that equips communities with the technology, training, and support needed to solve complex social challenges through collaboration. It combines local leadership with the HopeHub technology platform, which helps organizations develop personalized plans for people in need, coordinate support across agencies, and measure progress over time. By addressing barriers such as housing, employment, transportation, food insecurity, and healthcare, Restore Hope builds stronger support systems to move Arkansans from crisis to stability, and ultimately, to careers that support long-term independence.
